Imagine my chagrin when I decided I could trust this business. The Google listing says they open at 7:30 a.m., which is perfect if you are trying to get passport photos before lining up for an emergency passport renewal on a freezing cold Tuesday morning. The listing looked completely normal. Correct hours, verified recently, no obvious red flags. Google says it's open. Reality was very different. I arrived before 7:30 a.m. and waited until 8:00 a.m. The shop never opened. No sign. No explanation. Meanwhile, the passport office line was growing rapidly and my window to get in early was disappearing. To remove any doubt, I asked building security, whose desk is located very close to the passport photo shop inside the Harry Hays Building. They could not give me a clear or conclusive answer as to whether this business actually opens at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays at all. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. At 8:00 a.m. I had no choice but to leave and walk to Shoppers Drug Mart, where I got my passport photos done immediately and without drama. The lesson here is simple. You cannot trust this business to follow its stated hours. If timing matters to you, and for passport renewals it absolutely does, this place will make your life harder, not smoother. To make it worse, their phone number claims they open at 9:00 a.m., which directly contradicts the Google listing. If you are planning early-morning passport photos so you can get in line at the passport office, forget this place. Go to Shoppers Drug Mart instead.
