Wonderful team of doctors. The way they take care of their patients very skillful. All my nervousness vanishes everytime I am there. The staff is also very caring and compassionate. I loved the interaction with Dr Frys the most. She is the most enthusiastic energetic doctor I have met and is so cheery that it makes all your worries fly away. A big thank you to the wonderful team.

Dr. Rivas is truly amazing. She went above and beyond to care for me during a very difficult time. She took the time to listen, made me feel heard, and showed genuine compassion every step of the way. Before I left, she even gave me a hug and made sure to follow up afterward to see how I was doing. It’s rare to find a physician who cares so deeply about their patients. I am incredibly grateful for her kindness, dedication, and exceptional care. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
As a person on the autism spectrum with severe anxiety and a history of past medical and sexual trauma, it is always a difficult experience going to the doctor, with GYN being up there with the hardest. The sensory and emotional aspects are challenging in themselves. Perhaps the doctor was not aware. I was told to leave this practice and not come back after becoming very upset at an appointment. I want it to be clear I did not yell, curse, call anyone by any type of disrespectful name, make fun of anyone in any way, become physically aggressive, nor make any indication that I would. For context, I came in very distressed because I was afraid I was misinformed about my birth control method. I cried because I feared I had been using a form of BC that involves something I don’t personally want for body. My hope is that the doctor understands I was not angry at her over it; I was trying to express my concerns surrounding a medicine I was on, I was overwhelmed and overstimulated, I was scared, and I wanted help. As someone with autism and severe anxiety, I always fear misinterpreting others, and others misinterpreting me. I was also upset that despite being previously asked if I had any religious or cultural beliefs or customs worth noting in my medical chart, I was distressed that they weren’t considered. The doctor informed me that those aren’t things she takes into consideration when seeing patients, so I questioned why it was asked and documented in my medical chart, and informed her that it’s readily available in the basic patient demographic information. So is my list of diagnoses. This is a doctor of the practice that I hadn’t seen in many years. It would’ve been wise to at least review basic information about a patient, and I made that known to her. And if I recall correctly, I did in fact call that standard of care either terrible or horrible, one of those; because it is. I was a little taken aback that she flat out admitted to not taking a very small amount of time to review who her patient is besides her 1:30 appointment. The doctor indicated I was making her uncomfortable, but I was just being very blunt and firm about the truth. She asked if I still wanted the medical care I came for, and I said yes. As I laid there sobbing with my feet in the stirrups and the speculum in place, the doctor informed me I was making her uncomfortable again. As I laid on a table, in an emotionally (and literally) vulnerable position, I sobbed. She didn’t offer any support. If you’re genuinely too uncomfortable treating distressed and/or disabled patients, I’m not sure why you’d go into this profession. It’s just disheartening as an SA survivor and neurodivergent individual. It’s already so hard to feel safe receiving medical care. Being an SA survivor, GYN care can be extremely triggering. It honestly took me days to mentally recover. I am not saying this is a horrible office full of horrible doctors. But if you are looking for neurodivergent-informed care, trauma-informed care, or sensitivity to your religious and cultural beliefs regarding your health, this may not be the practice for you.
