American QuickLubePROVerified business?

Went in there to get an oil change and they tightened up my oil pan plug and stripped it. I know they did it cause they put oil in ..redrained it ,then put in again to later tell us about a temporary rubber plug that they need to use. All of this was done while whispering and gathering around my bumper talking to the pit guy and not saying anything to us. Then they tell us that its OK to start my car and when I do there's a leak from my oil filter...guess who tried to put a new filter in on top of the old gasket? manager made him say sorry to us but that doesn't mean much when you have appointments in Madison that you now have to cancel. Now we have a $300 plus bill to replace my oil pan cause of their screw up. Never again.

I used to do all my own oil changes, but after graduating college, starting a full-time job, and buying a home, I decided to save time by going to Oil Changers. With my car’s low ground clearance, the convenience seemed worth it. On 10/10/25, I had a full-service oil change, an oil system cleaner, and an automatic transmission fluid exchange done at the West Scott St location in Fond du Lac. I even agreed to a recommended upsell. The total was $227. About one to two weeks later, I noticed a small oil drip that gradually worsened into a puddle in my garage and driveway. Since it didn’t appear immediately, I returned on 11/11/25 once the issue became clear. I was told the drain plug threads were bad and couldn’t be torqued to spec, and that the hood technician from my prior visit (Tech #164333) failed to document or disclose the issue. Mistakes happen, but I was sent home without being informed, which led to a leak and out-of-pocket repair costs. What was especially disappointing is that during my original visit, the hood technician asked me to leave a five-star Google review, despite the unresolved issue that was later discovered. The shop said they couldn’t repair the problem due to protocol. I paid out of pocket to fix it and clean oil stains, received no apology or accountability, and was told it was simply “forgotten.” As a young homeowner trying to find one small convenience in routine maintenance, this was frustrating. I had used this location for nearly a year, but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Called before hand to make sure I could come get an oil change. I pull up a guy comes out to ask what I needed told him I was the one that just called for an oil change so they knew what I was there for and can tell what vehicle I have. They tell me they can do it and wait. Waited over 30 minutes for them to pull in another vehicle before me when I was there first. Then to pull me in and tell me they don’t have a filter and can’t do anything. They literally have one job and can’t even do that. Maybe they are new and don’t know what they are doing yet I dont know but waste of time
