I contacted Inaaya Interior for my home design and went through the full process, including setting up an appointment. On the day, they brought a labourer to take measurements. I also requested a 3D design but all I received was a single-page mockup of just the living room. That’s it. And for this, I was charged ₹6,000, including the measurement work. Honestly, it felt way overpriced for what was delivered. Later, I shared my budget of ₹10 lakhs for a 2BHK, which included everything - tiles, electrical work, and furniture. I even showed them my preferred design references. But when they sent the quotation, it was ₹20 lakhs. I was honestly shocked. At that point, I decided to drop the idea of hiring an interior designer altogether. Instead, I moved on, found a new 3BHK apartment, and hired a carpenter who had connections with other workers for things like false ceiling, etc. I personally sourced all the raw materials - tiles, plywood, electrical fittings, hinges, kitchen materials . everything branded. And guess what? I completed the entire 3BHK in around ₹15–16 lakhs. Compared to the ₹20 lakhs quote for a smaller 2BHK, I saved a huge amount. I understand not everyone has the time to manage everything themselves, but in my case, it was absolutely worth it. I’m really glad I didn’t end up overspending my hard-earned money.
