I would give 0 stars if I could. I purchased a part from this salvage yard for £400. At the time of purchase, the staff marked the part and specifically told me that they were marking it in case I needed to return it. At no point was I informed that the part was non-refundable or non-returnable. I took the part to my mechanic, who advised me that it was no longer needed. The very next day, I returned to the salvage yard to request a refund. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with complete disrespect. The behaviour of the staff was unacceptable. They were rude, aggressive, and swearing throughout the interaction. One individual sitting in the corner repeatedly used foul language despite not even being involved in the conversation. This created an intimidating and hostile environment for a paying customer. After a lengthy argument, I was offered just £100 back for a part I had purchased for £400 the previous day. That offer was completely unreasonable. When I refused it, the staff became even more aggressive and their attitude deteriorated further. This is not how any legitimate business should treat its customers. The issue is not only the refusal to provide a fair resolution, but also the shocking level of customer service and the intimidating behaviour displayed by staff. I do not want the standard copied-and-pasted response saying, "We're sorry to hear about your experience, please contact our team." Those responses achieve nothing. I have already tried to resolve this matter directly. I expect the owner or a senior manager to contact me personally and provide a proper resolution. If this matter is not resolved, I will have no option but to escalate it through the appropriate consumer protection channels and continue sharing my experience publicly so that other customers are aware of how they may be treated. I hope the business chooses to resolve this professionally rather than ignore a genuine customer complaint.

What can I say about these guys, outgoing and friendly, great service all round. I ordered a part which I needed next day, they were quick to respond and got the part out to me next day as requested. Unfortunately I had a small issue with the part and couldn’t fit it to my car, when I contacted them they were quick to offer a return and refund, got the full refund within a week of the part being returned. They also communicate via WhatsApp which makes things a lot quicker and smoother instead of constant phone calls or emails. Thank you Barlow Street Autos, will use again when the time comes!
