After trying Indian food at several places in Edinburgh, this is by far the most authentic Indian restaurant we’ve found. The flavors were rich, fresh, and tasted just like home. We ordered the Bhindi Masala and Paneer Masala, and both dishes were absolutely amazing. The spices were perfectly balanced, the paneer was soft and fresh, and the bhindi was cooked just right. The masala itself was simply wow—full of authentic flavor without being overly heavy. If you’re craving genuine Indian food in Edinburgh, this place is definitely worth a visit. This is proper, hearty Indian cooking — no gimmicks, no faff, just genuinely good food. Food: The lamb shank was properly "fall-off-the-bone" tender and humming with flavour. The lamb chops were beautifully seasoned, nicely balanced between salt and spice, and packed a real punch. The king prawn rogan josh was spot on — fresh, plump prawns in a rich sauce — though I wouldn’t have minded a few more prawns (happily pay a bit extra for that). Ambience: Comfortable seating and perfectly decent lighting. The back of the restaurant could perhaps do with a bit of a refresh, but honestly, with food like this, it hardly felt like a priority. Service: Professional and attentive, without ever feeling overbearing. All in all: A thoroughly enjoyable meal — the kind of place you come to for proper flavour and leave very satisfied.
