I like Phil the owner. He and his wife are great. Phil is a very cool type of guy. He listens to you. With that said his choice for management needs to be looked into closer and scrutinized. It's probably one of the only provlems that affected my stay there. Everyone has their own journey to where they need to get to or come back from and Juan, if he is still there, tries to control through psychological tactics and threats... honestly, I say this is a good place if you circumvent the bull cookies and focus you and on moving forward. It's a clean place. Can feel more homey and less institutionalistic. People were stealing from each other and there are guys who have been there for a while. You are living with multiple other men and the testosterone wasn't through the roof either. Without Juan, this place gets a 4-5 stars from me.

Highly recommended!!! Phil is a great guy. Very knowledgeable and highly intelligent. I’ve been to sober homes in the past and none were as clean as his. He makes you feel welcomed regardless of your color or creed. We need more men in the community like him.
Daily Living is in the heart of Dorchester and truly stands out with its culturally tailored interior and deep connection to the community it serves. The Black-owned program is led by a compassionate and flexible operator who demonstrates the empathy needed to operate a program like this. I highly recommend anyone seeking a supportive and empowering environment to apply for this program.
