Good communication for the planning of the work for the demolition of my end-of-life garage.

They carried out the demolition and asbestos removal of my house, very professionally. Communication was easy and they were flexible in the face of several unforeseen events during the project.

We hired Démo-Construct for a small decontamination and insulation project. The work itself seems well done, but everything else has been a series of frustrations. After several months without any updates (and numerous follow-ups from us), the team finally imposed a work date on us, without really considering our availability. At this point, we adjusted our schedules anyway, as the project was already significantly behind schedule. Once the work was completed, another problem arose: the bill we received was higher than expected, despite a fixed-price quote. The person in charge of our case explained, without warning and in a condescending tone, that a portion of the cost would ultimately be variable. We tried to make him understand that this kind of discrepancy—being relatively small and easy to absorb—should be covered by Démo-Construct. It's a matter of principle, especially for a service company. But faced with their complete lack of self-reflection, we chose to pay the entire bill, simply to close the file. And that's where things took an even more disappointing turn. After receiving payment, we received a final, deeply disrespectful, mocking, and contemptuous email from them. Not only did they fail to offer an apology or even a simple thank you, but quite the opposite occurred, and we were met with insults as a conclusion. This is what naturally compels us to share this review. With all the competent construction companies in Quebec, do yourself a favor: explore your options. If a simple invoice adjustment is handled this way, it's difficult to trust this company to resolve more serious issues professionally. Finally, we don't want the lack of professionalism of one individual to tarnish the work of others. Therefore, thank you to Maude, who was punctual and professional, and to the team that carried out the work. For the rest, we could clearly have done without it and completed the work more quickly and smoothly with another company.
