Our stay at Santo Maria Villa by Eko Stay (4–5 July 2026) was one of the most disappointing villa experiences we've had. We booked the property for 7 guests, paying approximately ₹30000 for the stay and another ₹10,000 for meals, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but premium. From the moment we arrived, there was no one to welcome us or assist with check-in. We had to look around and find the caretaker ourselves. The hospitality throughout the stay remained equally poor. To our surprise, one of the bedrooms was located outside the main villa and quite far away, something that was never disclosed during booking. Had we known this in advance, we would never have booked the property. The villa itself lacked basic cleanliness. We found mosquitoes and insects indoors, the dining table and washrooms were not cleaned properly, there was no hot water, and we experienced multiple power interruptions. Every time we needed assistance, we had to search for the caretaker ourselves because no one proactively communicated or offered support. The food was equally disappointing despite the premium charges. Burnt French fries, poorly prepared cheese chilli toast with poor-quality butter, tasteless pasta, and undercooked aloo parathas are certainly not what you expect after paying around ₹10,000 for meals. Only the biryani was reasonably good. What disappointed us the most was Eko Stay's attitude after the stay. I raised every concern with their team and later requested a fair refund considering the numerous service failures. Instead of taking responsibility, my refund request was bluntly denied. It's clear that once they have your money, customer satisfaction is no longer a priority. I had personally recommended this property to my friends, and the entire group left disappointed. It was embarrassing and certainly not worth the money. The hospitality, customer service, maintenance, cleanliness, and post-stay support are all extremely poor. I would not recommend Eko Stay or Santo Maria Villa to anyone. There are far better options available that genuinely value their guests. Save your money and avoid the disappointment.

Very disappointing experience with Ekostay. We booked Casa Zul Villa in Alibaug for 2 nights at a cost of nearly ₹48,000. During our stay, 2 out of 4 bedroom ACs were not cooling properly, the living room AC was completely non-functional, and even the fan speeds were extremely slow. Given the heat and humidity in Alibaug, this made the stay extremely uncomfortable. While Ekostay did send a technician, the issue remained unresolved throughout our stay. What was most disappointing was the lack of customer support and service recovery. No alternative arrangements, coolers, room changes, or other solutions were offered despite repeated follow-ups. The villa itself was clean and the caretaker was helpful, but guest experience depends on how issues are handled when things go wrong. For a hospitality company, simply sending a technician and closing the matter is not enough when a major amenity remains unusable. We also requested Ekostay to consider the inconvenience caused and review the charges accordingly, but there was no meaningful acknowledgment of the impact on our stay. I hope Ekostay takes guest concerns more seriously and improves its approach towards customer service and issue resolution.

The Villa was nice, but Ekostay doesn’t allow outside food in the villa nor they allow caretakers to cook and serve us, so this is a very weird thing. We asked the caretaker to cook, but they said no , go out and eat. This is wrong after taking 50,000 for two nights and then not allowing food or like not even letting us cook is not fair
