I am submitting this review to raise serious concerns regarding the fees charged by Snap Car Cash / Equity Loans / 1064299 B.C. LTD following the repossession of my vehicle. At the time of repossession, the outstanding balance on the loan was approximately $10,000. However, the amount required to redeem the vehicle increased to approximately $27,000. This included nearly $20,000 in additional fees described as legal and related costs. These charges appear excessive, unclear, and not supported by a transparent or properly itemized breakdown of actual costs incurred. Despite requesting clarification, I was not provided with sufficient detail to justify these fees. In my view, the scale of these additional charges goes beyond what would be considered fair and reasonable under standard lending practices. Repossession is already a difficult situation for any borrower. However, the process should remain transparent and grounded in legitimate, clearly documented costs — not amounts that significantly exceed the original balance and make redemption unrealistic. I would strongly encourage Snap Car Cash / Equity Loans / 1064299 B.C. LTD to improve transparency, provide proper documentation for all post-repossession fees, and ensure that charges align with reasonable and lawful standards. I would also strongly suggest that consumers exercise a high degree of caution before entering into any agreement with this lender, and carefully review all terms and potential outcomes in the event of default. I am currently exploring further review and potential remedies regarding these charges.

Do not recommend, would be 0 stars if possible. These people repo your vehicle after 8 days of being late, and charge astronomical amounts in repo fees and storage fees. Most places give you 30 day grace and also forward a letter stating repo is coming. They had a key to my vehicle and knew where it was, they drove it to their location, yet still charged as if it was GPS located and towed. They are also all over with your monthly payments, 1 method of communication will state an amount, then another method will state a higher amount. When asked, they stated I forgot the GPS fee. Should that not always be included in the total owed. They hope you miss a portion so they can consider you late and repo your vehicle based on a small missed amount. Seriously I was 408 behind, 8 days late, and was charged 2300 in the end to get it back. Slightly outrageous, their practices are shady, and their locations are just as shady feeling. Oh, and they only let you collect you vehicle from 10am to 1pm Monday through Friday, hoping you cannot make it so they can add more storage fees. Look up the practices they should be following, any loan place worth a damn follows BC laws and business practices, this one does not. If you need a vehicle equity loan, look elsewhere, I am sure there are better companies, and if there is a way to transfer my loan to one of them, you better believe I will.
