The NYU College of Arts & Science, nestled near Washington Square Park, is highly regarded among my academic contacts for its outstanding foundation in the liberal arts and sciences, which is intellectually rigorous yet incredibly broad. The faculty consistently receives praise for both their cutting-edge research and their dedication to undergraduate teaching, fostering a genuinely stimulating learning environment. What truly sets CAS apart is the unparalleled ability to pursue traditional academic disciplines while leveraging the phenomenal cultural and research opportunities that only downtown Manhattan can offer.

NYU is very prestigious, and the college of arts and science is especially selective (4% acceptance rate). But with that comes many benefits, as the students you'll be surrounded by are incredibly gifted and talented.
