Booked a 1 night stay after a cruise and arrived at around 1230pm, expecting to only be able to store our bags until the 4pm check in time. We were greeted warmly at reception and advised that if we waited 20 minutes, we'd be able to access our room at 1pm which was ideal. Rooms are good size and whilst in need of a little refurbishment, the beds were comfy and rooms had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was excellent and offered plenty of choice, including hot options (waffles/omelettes/bacon). The free WiFi worked well throughout our stay and theres also a bar within the hotel offering a decent selection of drinks. Previous reviews mention the area being full of homeless people which isn't accurate. This seems to be a city wide issue and not restricted to the hotel surroundings and, as such we experienced no issues and felt safe. Easy walk to Reading Terminal Market and into the city. Had a very nice stay here. Well-connected location in Center City, close to a number of attractions with easy transit options. Lot of amenities between the gym, free breakfast, concierge, water/coffee stations. The room was very clean, and being on the top floor, had some very high ceilings. It felt quite spacious. Pillows could be better, and I can see how this place could become overwhelmed when a convention is nearby. But, it felt adequately staffed while I was there, safe at all hours, and was a great spot for the weekend.

Very convenient location next to the convention center and near Old City. Also, there are a lot of great Chinese restaurants near the hotel (and the Reading Terminal Market is a 5 minute walk). The room was an okay size for one person, and the bed was comfy. I did not use the microwave, but the mini-fridge worked. The shower was permanently stained and very small, and the faucet leaked out of the spout all over the counter. There was a mouse in the lobby of the hotel within one hour of me checking in, and one of the employees kicked it to death in front of me and other employees in the lobby. Somehow, other guests did not notice the commotion or ignored it. Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Rooms are cleaned every other day. Trash was left in the hallways for long periods of time before being collected. Breakfast was terrible and everything looked gross. There was a long, black hair in the omelettes my first morning, and I steered clear of everything that was not the waffles for the rest of my stay. The all-day coffee station was great! Also, I am unsure who this gentleman is and his specific relationship to the hotel (other reviews mention a courtesy driver), but he was very nice and he saved the day on two occasions when Ubers were simply not getting to me.
