I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Selinsgrove for a quick local interview and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had a different design than what I typically see in hotels, which was a nice touch and made the stay feel a bit more unique. The complimentary breakfast included all the standard breakfast items and was a convenient way to start the day. I also appreciated that coffee was available throughout the day, which was especially helpful during my visit. Overall, this was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would consider staying here again if I am in the area.

The pool was kind of gross. The spa was down and there were a lot of spiders in it with yellow caution tape like a crime scene. The shower to rinse off had no hot water. The lighting gave that eerie 1989 feel of a horror movie. The exhaust in the bathroom of our room wasn't the greatest, and the paint was bubbling in its ceiling. The shower in our bathroom needs to have its drain cleared. We had to have the shower almost at a trickle, so we weren't standing in our own filth. The room was nice, need newer TVs. The doors need something to keep them from slamming getting woken by those coming in or leaving during the night. Won't stay here again. And the price for the quality of the hotel with nothing around the area was dreadful.
We travel a lot, and we stay in a variety of places. This is the first negative review that I have ever written for a hotel brand. We stayed here for two nights for Susquehanna graduation weekend. Average price per night was $400 (demand pricing - rooms normally run about $120) which in itself was fine given the limited options in the area. We don't always stay in luxury hotels - primary Marriott properties are the norm (Courtyards, Fairfield, etc.). Cons: - Entire hotel needs an overhaul and update. Drab, dingy, outdated rooms - a very tired property that is doing damage to the Hilton brand. - Very dirty (elevators, the actual room, floors, hallways, carpet, etc.) - Room and entire place had a strange vinegar/chemical/odd smell - especially in the room. Like they were trying to cover up. - Coffee empty repeatedly - Smokers repeatedly outside the main door which happened to permeate our room Pros: - Proximity to shopping and campus - Free parking Work hard to find an alternative place when visiting the SU campus. Fairfield inn, Holiday Inn, Selinsgrove inn or some of the hotels near Bucknell are all better options.
