Booked through Expedia and actually loved the hotel enough to extend my stay a night. The “extension” just meant swapping room keys for the same room — no move at all. I called the front desk first and they told me to do the swap whenever it was convenient, so we did the check-out/check-in at 12 PM instead of 11, exactly as they approved. Then I got hit with a $50 charge for it. Called the hotel, an agent admitted it was a mistake and said it’d be reversed right away. A week later — nothing. Called back, and this time got redirected to “call Expedia instead,” like they wanted to wash their hands of it. Called Expedia, and the call dropped mid-resolution. Called the hotel back just to ask what happened, and the agent got annoyed and snapped that they’d “already told me” to call Expedia. Tried again with a different Expedia agent (genuinely great, no complaints there). She called the hotel directly on my behalf — and the hotel still refused the refund. Not because the charge was legit. Because I’d called too many times. They wouldn’t even give Expedia a real reason. So a charge the hotel itself admitted was wrong got denied out of pure irritation at a guest following up on something they promised to fix. That’s not a policy issue, that’s staff taking it personally. Disappointing for a Marriott property. I didn’t ask for anything they hadn’t already approved. Just wanted what I was told would happen. Instead: attitude, stonewalling, and a “no” with no explanation. Think twice before booking.

Came into the hotel for a temporary stay. I had broken lights and was moved into a new room which was very hot and had very chilly hallways. I had terrible sleep but had a comfortable bed besides the heat affecting my sleep. The soap needed a huge shake to get a tiny squirt out. Overall, cool hotel. 👍

The location in Coolidge Corner is great and the service is solid. However, the hotel is dated and could use several improvements. The bathroom in our room (#505) was small and so was the bathtub. The Internet and one of the elevators were out of service all weekend. The pillows in the beds were small and funky. They were not up to Bonvoy’s standards. The water in the pool was cold.
