Please read the numerous other negative rip off reviews on this forum. Horrible experience! Do not spend your money (gouge you) with this company. My custom $14K website is GONE due to a lapse in my hosting invoice after five years. I guess it was too much to pick up the phone and inform me my website would be GONE forever if I didn't pay them. This was not explained to me when I signed up five years ago. These people are deceptive and incompetent.
I migrated my website and two subdomains to Hostwinds because of the customer service I was receiving from the previous company where I'd been for 24 years. I couldn't be happier with Hostwind's customer service online chat. This is the first time absolutely all of my questions have been answered completely. I would give them 10 stars if it was an option and recommend them
They stole $49 from me! I signed up and they couldn't get the service going after many hours despite it being an automated process. Their customer support was so seriously beyond idiotic! I decided to cut my losses and cancel as that glimpse into their service was deeply disturbing. They refused to refund me for a months hosting I never used! Why would a business feel they deserve to keep money for a service they never provided? This speaks volumes about their character! They are scam artists who utilize fine print red tape and double speak to commit blatant fraud upon innocent consumers! Avoid Hostwinds at all costs! Their money back guarantee is clearly a lie!
