I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Jenkins Acura. A month before my engine failed, I brought my vehicle in because it was not running properly. I was told everything was fine and that there were no issues. Fast forward one month, and my vehicle ended up needing major repairs, including a blown head gasket, cylinder head work, and an engine harness replacement. My car was in the shop for an entire month. I finally got my vehicle back this morning, and immediately noticed a strong coolant smell. By the end of the day, I checked under the hood and found that the coolant level was very low. Every time the hood is opened, all you can smell is antifreeze. I also discovered that the engine cover and skid plate are missing. On top of that, the vehicle appears to have been sideswiped while in their possession. When I called Acura, the service manager refused to approve a tow because he claimed he personally drove the vehicle 40 miles and “it was fine.” Ironically, I was told the exact same thing when I brought the vehicle in before the engine failed the first time. Driving a car 40 miles does not explain why the coolant is low, why there is a strong antifreeze smell, why parts are missing, or why there appears to be new damage to the vehicle. After being without my car for a month and spending all this time dealing with major engine repairs, I expected much better quality control and customer service. At this point, I have very little confidence in the repairs or the dealership’s willingness to take responsibility for legitimate concerns.
