We spent an incredible 9 days exploring this wonderful gem of a country from Haa Valley in the west all the way to Ura Valley in the east. Our trip was originally one week long, but we loved it so much we extended our stay! Chencho made it all happen - he provided the most prompt and detailed responses to all of our questions, and his pricing was the most ideal for our budget. He was extremely patient with us, made outstanding suggestions for our ambitious itinerary, and attentive to all the trip details that were important to us. We were ecstatic to have a wonderful knowledgeable female guide Tshering, and our driver Thinley was equally hard-working and absolutely amazing. Every day was filled with visits to magnificent temples, intriguing learnings about Bhutanese culture, exquisite architectural patterns, and trying new tasty foods which varied by region. We went on beautiful hikes in the valleys, witnessed a medley of wildlife along our roadtrip, and woke up almost every morning with breathtaking views. We stayed in a good variety of very memorable and fantastic homestays, guesthouses, and boutique hotels - all very safe and comfortable. The Bhutanese people are warm and welcoming, honest and respectable, creative and artistic… everywhere there is a peace and calm that relaxed our souls. Under their benevolent leader, the country has been intentionally developing in a way that allows for a beautiful coexistence with the natural world, something that is hard to find in this day and age. After having visited over 115 countries, this was easily a top 10 favorite for us. Bhutan is truly a special place, and we will definitely be back! We would undoubtedly use this same tour company again to design our next trip - we feel very lucky to have found Chencho and truly think he is the best.
