We went on the sloth and tortilla cooking class tour. The guide was really helpful and explained a lot of animal facts including how to identify male and female sloths, two toes vs three toes, their sizes etc and he had great humor. Tortilla making was also fun and delicious and we had a chance to spin and make the lime sugar cane juice to cool off after walking for a bit

The guide, Estevan, was very knowledgeable about the sloths. It was an easy found walk through the foliage despite the rain. Fun fact, the sloths really ball up in the rain so we didn't see much of their faces until the end one gave us a 30 second view. I was happy with that at least. The tortilla cooking lesson was fun and fully inclusive of participants. Getting to eat the tortilla with additional treats after was a great way to end the tour, after pressing came juice.

Amazing experience seeing both two toed and three toed sloths in a natural habitat. This place is off the main path so way less touristy than some other more popular places. It was just our family and three other people on the morning tour and our guide was so knowledgeable and informative. After the tour we pressed sugar cane and made tortillas and they fed us a small lunch of tortillas with cheese, rice, and fresh juice! Highly recommend this family-run nature reserve!
