Charles, the big boss of Let's Go Mount Kenya is really awesome. He communicates well, has decent pricing, his group is well organized, he is very flexible. He is also genuinely nice, like you want to invite him to a party next chance you get. He deserves 6 stars! Biggest issue I had was the trek. I did 5 day chogoria trek. I recommend the trek, except the last day is completely useless. The 4th day is very intense (12 hours of walking), but you finish in the ugliest camping spot I've ever seen, just on the side of a road! To me it's clear that one should either sleep in Nanyuki, or drive back to Nairobi, instead of sleeping there, eating boring food, no shower, and having a quick and boring walk next to a road the next day. Charles was super nice and on my request drove us to Nanyuky, much appreciated. Second issue was the food, which I found repetitive and bland. My guide was fine, made sure nobody got lost, but was otherwise a bit bland too, not adding much to the trek. There was another guide for another client of Charles that would talk non-stop if there was another guide within earshot, even if we were between them and he needed shouting. And I mean non-stop. My subtle hints didn't seem clear enough so I had to make it clearer at some point that I was there to enjoy the peace as well as the scenery. Summary: Charles is awesome, his recommend trek should have it's ending changed, or at least he should give the option beforehand, and his team is ok but could do better.
