We had the best experience with Marina Charters in Costa Rica. They were great to book through, super responsive and organized and continued to keep us updated on our booking up till the day of with things to pack, detailed description of pick up, etc... The day of the boat charter was absolutely magical! The crew was incredible - very knowledgeable and clearly professionals. I felt very comfortable with their knowledge of the area and the boat. They brought us to a small island for incredible snorkeling and paddle boarding and carried everything for us - including a cooler fully stocked with drinks for us and the kids. When we got back to the boat, they had put together the most incredible spread of fruits and snacks. We were in heaven! Highlight of the day was when our son caught a small tuna and once on the boat, the crew proceeded to filet and cook it up right there to eat. Such a cool experience and a highlight of our entire trip to this beautiful country. Highly, highly recommend this company and if you get the crew we had, you are in for a treat. :)

We had a very disappointing experience with Marina Charters Costa Rica. The boat was advertised as “luxury” and “new,” but in reality it was extremely old, poorly maintained, and had a very bad smell throughout the entire trip. It did not look anything like what was promoted online. For the amount of money we paid, we expected a clean, comfortable, and high-quality experience, but instead we dealt with multiple issues and felt misled by the advertising. The overall condition of the boat made the trip very uncomfortable for our family. Customer service was also unhelpful when we raised concerns. Unfortunately, this was a very stressful and frustrating experience, and we would not recommend this company to others looking for a true luxury charter experience.

We had a magnificent time on the Fountaine Pajot Elba 45! The catamaran was quite new and a brilliant design inside and out with all the amenities you could want. The owner should be proud! Fabian and Joey were taking good care of her and keeping everything shipshape :) Our Captain, Fabian, and First Mate, Joey, were quite experienced and confident sailors and made us feel right at home. Fabian is quite knowledgeable about the area and shared some of the history with us. He anchored in a perfect spot near the new Ritz Carlton where we snorkeled, padel boarded and swam near the boat. We loved the transom design! Joey served us a refreshing, and delicious light lunch of chicken salad sandwiches, fresh fruit, plantain chips, guacamole, and a nice assortment of cookies. Joey was checking on us regularly to see if we needed anything, such as another beverage or helping us with the snorkel gear. Fabian and Joey made a great team and worked well together. Fabian also took us a couple miles further out where we saw dolphins! Later on the way back, we anchored again where we swam and saw turtles and a manta ray! We had a wonderful time and look forward to the next time we can charter the Pajot Elba 45 and hopefully get Fabian and Joey again :) Pura Vida!
