The mountainous journey, off the main roads from Malang to Surabaya provided me with the scenic natural views that I really appreciate. Without any planned itinerary, i told Pungky my interest is to cherish the beauty of nature and rural villages. I was really satisfied with the routes we took. I booked Nahwa Travel for transit between Juanda Airport and Malang. At the last second, literally as I was coming out of the terminal, I was informed that I would need to wait an additional 30 minutes to pick up other passengers. That 30 minutes ended up being 75 minutes. I was stuck in a terminal with barely any chairs, traveling with my 70 year old father. And the only answer was, predictably, "mohon maaf". Not anything to help. Not any compassion. Not even any reassurance. The driver could not even understand where a Google Maps position was. And so for what was essentially a 90 minute journey, I waited 75 minutes to get started. And then got stuck in a very tightly packed car, awkwardly trying to give space to my father without encroaching too much on the other passenger's space. No sympathy. No understanding. Not even a gesture. Just getting "maaf"-ed into eternity. Just 75 minutes of my life I'm never getting back. Oh, hours later they said they didn't have a choice, because it was their last car out of the airport that night. Wrong, they had a choice. That's their self imposed constraints. Cars go in and out of there all the time. They simply chose to make this the last car, and to make us wait 75 minutes at the terminal. They just chose not to care about their clients. Never again.
We booked a bromo sunrise trip from Nahwa Tour and got assisted by kak Meme through the entire process from booking until the pick up. She was very professional, kind and super responsive. The jeep was in an excellent condition and the driver was super kind and helpful. It was a superb and majestic experience for our family not only to be able to witness the beauty of BTS National Park but also to get an impeccable service from Nahwa’s crew. Top Notch!
