CHOOSE A BETTER BRAND - THERE IS NO AFTER CARE SUPPORT. after just a few weeks a fault happened to my charger. Ohme confirmed it’s a problem with their hardware and will look into it. Days and days they ignore messages. Their call centre have massive wait times on phone. Their online support only answer with AI bots. All I get it someone will be in touch. Meanwhile, customer has no method to charge car at home and is laying out expensive charge cost at public charger. POOR HARDWARE AND ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Pictures are of many messages and emails from their AI bots that just repeats someone within the hour will contact you. They never do. If you send message and wait and wait for Ohme to respond if you don’t respond straight away for them they close the chat and you have to start again.

If you are considering an Ohme EV charger, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. My recent experience with their customer care team suggests their 3-year manufacturer warranty is effectively useless when you actually need to claim on it. My Ohme Home Pro recently suffered an internal failure and stopped delivering power to my car. Instead of sending an engineer or accepting the unit for a proper technical inspection, Ohme asked for a photograph of the outside of the charger. Because the rubber cable gland (where the heavy tethered cable hangs and is manipulated daily) was slightly flexed outward, they instantly voided my warranty. They accused me of "accidental damage" and "excessive force." I attach a photo of my "damaged" unit so you can see for yourself how ridiculous this is. In my opinion, if normal daily use of a tethered cable causes the external gland to look like this, the unit is poorly designed and lacks adequate internal strain relief. When I demanded they physically open the unit to inspect the internal circuit board and prove their theory, they explicitly refused in writing, stating a photograph providing them with a visual check of the outside plastic was sufficient. To make matters worse, their "goodwill" solution was to offer me a refurbished replacement for £614, which is practically the cost of a brand-new unit. I am now having to hire an independent electrician to carry out the internal inspection they refused to do, and I am pursuing a legal claim against them for breach of warranty under the Sale of Goods Act. A masterclass in warranty evasion. Save your money, time, and sanity, and look at competitors like Hypervolt instead.

Absolutely awful. The costumer service is non-existent. My honest summary is STAY AWAY!! If you need a reliable EV charger, if you need a company that will work with you Ohme is not it! Avoid at all cost!!
