This class was AWESOME and so was Julia. Cannot say enough good things about Julia, she is one of a kind and is the MOST KIND human I have ever met. I will 100% be attending more classes. I was nervous before the class started because I have never touched sewing machine in my life but 1 minute into the class my nerves all went away!
My mom and I took the Beginning Sewing Class (Drawstring Bag) and we both feel so much more confident in moving forward with with a machine! The class covers threading the machine, basic operations, a sewing practice sheet, and then construction of a drawstring bag based on the skills covered. Instructor and owner Julia is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about sewing, machines, and much more beyond what is covered. Class teaching assistants were also very knowledgeable and friendly, you will never feel lost. For a class of 11 students, each was given individual attention. We plan on taking more classes here! If you were on the fence, sign up its more than worth it! (fabric quality is also AMAZING and so cute!)
My daughters and I have both taken classes here - most recently took an alterations class here and learned such valuable skills in a really welcoming, hands-on space. Definitely recommend for any skill level. The staff is great too - they’re really helpful when picking out fabrics and supplies, and they take the time to give thoughtful, personal advice. High quality fabrics and lots of notions as well!
