We took part in the 15-day Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek with Sherpa Expedition & Trekking in May 2026. The company was organized and efficient from the moment we landed in Kathmandu. They also communicated well regarding pick-up and transport to and from our hotel. Our trip first started with a day tour in Kathmandu Valley with Shankar as part of our EBC trek package. Shankar is an excellent tour guide with a rich knowledge and passion for Nepali culture, history, and religion. His explanations are thorough, and he can answer all your questions regarding Nepali culture or history. If you would like to get an authentic and in-depth tour of Kathmandu, ask for Shankar. We had the best guide during our EBC trek, Kamal, who was like a good friend to us: kind, knowledgeable, and always focused on our safety and well-being (such as being mindful of mules, porters, and dzopkyos). He provided great advice regarding what foods to select to give us the most energy for trekking while preventing any gastrointestinal distress. As we climbed to higher altitudes, Kamal monitored our oxygen levels regularly and consistently checked in with us to ensure we were not showing any signs of high-altitude sickness. We also want to thank our amazing porter, M.P., who always had a cheerful smile as he carried our duffel bags from village to village. We miss them both, but we were so lucky to have them with us on our trek. After finishing the trek, our flight was delayed in Lukla for over a day, and Sherpa Expedition & Trekking quickly arranged for a helicopter service to Kathmandu so we would make our international flight on time. We can not thank Sherpa Expedition & Trekking enough for their professionalism and for keeping us safe throughout our Himalayan adventure. We highly recommend this company for the EBC trek and any trekking or adventure seeking in Nepal! -Kristie & Steven

Second time we’ve used the services of Sherpa Expeditions, both times to utmost satisfaction (ABC trek in 2023 and Langtang valley with climb of Tserko Ri in 2025). Ram is a little scattered in communication before hand, but everything is perfectly organized, from pick up at the airport to drop off. Flexible with add ons (for instance tours of cultural sites in Kathmandu). Our trekking guide (Buddha Tamang) was knowledgeable, supportive, and positive. He has uncanny connections in all the villages throughout the trek, and unfailingly arranged for best available accommodations (Sherpa Expeditions specialty). Summiting a 5,000m with him was as easy as it could have been, considering the altitude.

We did the Three Passes Trek with EBC with our Guide Rinji, who was fantastic! We always felt safe, well-guided, and also had a lot of fun in the trek together. I cannot recommend this company more to go hiking with in the Everest region.
