Swami Yoga offers a truly authentic classical Hatha yoga experience! The meditation sessions were powerful, and the detailed hands on adjustments helped me refine and deepen my practice. The location is convenient, and there are many different classes to choose from. I’ll definitely be returning.
I completed the 200 Hour teacher training course with Swami Vivekananda School of Yoga in September of 2025, and I can honestly say it was incredible. I arrived having literally just done one yoga session in my life, barely able to cross my legs sitting down, and feeling not in a great state of mind. By the end - I literally felt like a legendary yogi - deeply understanding both the poses of yoga, and the philosophy and spiritual tradition behind it, having an inner power and true excitement about life, and with the confidence to lead a yoga class. Since coming back to the UK, I now start every day at 6 with asana, pranayama and meditation - and I cannot begin to explain how good it feels - a combination of deep inner stillness and relaxation, with a drive and energy to conquer the day. And so far I have led classes for friends and family, with plans to start up with full classes. The teachers at Swami Vivekendanda are absolutely fantastic, providing detailed guidance and support with humour and care, and expecting you to embody authentic yoga in practice and daily life. The class is also a place where you are promted with reflective questions that just spark incredible conversations. I had conversations with one course mate in particular that created some accountability in my own life, and has been literally life changing - and basically prompting me to think about my own priorities in life. Sure India can be a little rough around the edges, but at the end of the day it is the heart and soul of yoga - it is buzzing with a spiritual energy and so exciting to walk around. This is best yoga school for classical yoga teacher training in rishikesh. I completed my 200 hours yttc here. The founder yogi mohan is very professional for teach and explain the subject. He's team very active and professional. The energy of place really very Deep peec and positive. I recommend this school.
