While changing the thermal paste and cleaning my laptop at home, I accidentally tore a wire connected to one of the fans, which caused the fan to stop working Since I urgently needed the laptop, I decided to come here despite the place being about an hour away from me, as it was the only repair shop I could find that was open on Saturday. That is definitely a big plus Before making the trip, I called them, explained the problem, and was quoted around 800 CZK When I arrived, I showed them the laptop and explained again that the only thing I needed was to have the broken fan wire soldered back together They quoted me 2,800 CZK (!!!) When I asked how they arrived at that price, they told me it included cleaning the laptop and replacing the thermal paste The problem is that I had already explained that I had done both of those things myself and that I ONLY needed the broken wire repaired I then suggested that I could bring them the laptop already disassembled, so literally all they would have to do was solder the wire. The younger employees seemed unsure how to respond, and then their senior colleague, speaking from behind the partition, said that in that case the repair would cost 600 CZK So apparently soldering the wire costs 600 CZK, while removing six screws to open the laptop somehow brings the total to 2,800 CZK Obviously, I couldn't just sit there and disassemble my laptop myself on the spot, so in the end I left without getting it repaired and wasted about two hours traveling there and back What bothers me most isn't even the price itself, but the way the whole situation was handled. If I hadn't insisted that I only needed the wire soldered and questioned the 2,800 CZK quote, I could have ended up paying for services I never asked for The whole experience left me with the impression that they were trying to seriously overcharge me and sell me unnecessary services. Going from approximately 800 CZK over the phone, to 2,800 CZK in person, and then suddenly down to 600 CZK if I brought the laptop disassembled does not inspire much trust Be cautious about the other reviews - some of them look fake
