Our stay in the H hotel in LAX was great. We arrived at around midnight. The staff is professional… The room looked awesome (good and comfy beds, great bathroom with separate toilet, high ceiling, runway view!) and the rooftop is great (we came for plane spotting !). All of that until we just wanted to stay one hour after the check-out time. Let me recapitulate. We asked the front desk if we could get an extra hour to enjoy the rooftop. The staff said no problem, we could arrange something. I am Hilton Honors but, because I booked the hotel on another website, they told me that they would let me stay one more hour if I filed a paper to sign me up. Everything is great so far. 30 mins after we checked out, I received a message that they ended up changing me to 30USD for the single extra hour that we stayed. Make it clear next time.

As a Hilton Diamond member who stays at Hilton properties frequently throughout the year, I found my recent stay at the H Hotel Los Angeles to be below average compared to other Hilton hotels. The biggest disappointment was the airport shuttle service. Upon arriving at LAX, we waited approximately 25 minutes while two H Hotel shuttles drove past without stopping, apparently because they were full with departing guests. For an airport hotel that heavily promotes its shuttle service, this was not a great first impression. I do want to recognize Allen (or Alex) at the front desk, who provided outstanding service during check-in and made us feel genuinely welcome. Unfortunately, the rest of our interactions with the front desk staff during our two-night stay were fairly average. Housekeeping and attention to detail were also lacking. A stack of used plates and dinnerware were left outside a nearby guest room when we checked in. Despite housekeeping working in the area, the items remained there more than 24 hours later until I called to report it. Our suite itself was comfortable and well laid out, with a kitchen sink and refrigerator. However, it was strange that the room contained no plates, glasses, utensils, or other basic kitchen items like a microwave. The pool area felt like an afterthought, located directly adjacent to the hotel entrance and driveway, making it feel exposed and uninviting. The limited dining options were another drawback. The hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast and dinner, and with few walkable alternatives nearby, we ended up going to the neighboring Hyatt for lunch. Overall, while there were a few positives, this property fell short of the standards I typically experience at Hilton hotels and would rank below average within the Hilton portfolio.
Amazing experience at this Hilton. Great service, great room, digital keys are always a plus. Mordern yet homey. Good heavy doors at your room (security and noise reduction). Laundry room was clean. Gym is above average for a hotel gym. The resturaunt on site was over priced but that seems to be standard with on site food at hotels. Large selection of quality items at the convenient kiosk, also overpriced but convenience is the trade off. Hannah the robot was always fun to see around the hotel.
