Such a beautiful and wellkept care home, excellent and caring staff team who go above and beyond for the residents. My Aunt has thrived since being within the home. The management decided to close the entire downstairs floor, due to “cost efficiencies”. They’ve told all the residents downstairs this afternoon, that they have to choose a room upstairs, and given them two weeks notice. In addition, the first I’ve heard of this, was when my Grandfather called me up this evening to tell me. Zero communication to the residents, or families, or staff (which I have sympathy for as there are some good people who work there). A huge upheaval. My Grandad loves the outdoors, and enjoyed the downstairs room, as it has a lovely view of the river for him. I am sure that your competitor Wilton Manor, has a lovely downstairs room for him, we will be popping in to see them tomz morning for a meeting.
Awful awful place. They have made it impossible for a lot of staff to continue working - close to Christmas. On several occasions whilst visiting my uncle, I heard the manager very loudly reprimand a couple of the poor carers (litterally shouting at her).....because there wasn't a sheet on a bed. If you are thinking of either working here or send a relative to home, please reconsider. The manager has made it impossible to provide the level of care which is safe. Also, try reading their disasterous last couple of CQC reports - they are absolutely DAMNING - and with good reason
