I have been a long term sufferer from atrial fibrillation. Despite several interventions over many years (cardioversions and catheter ablations), the problem, after temporary respites have been achieved, has continued to recur. In consultation with Dr Ahsan, it was decided that a ‘pace and ablate’ procedure was the best way forward. Both the procedure and the rationale for it was explained to me with both complete clarity and great empathy. The procedures were conducted in December and in January with great skill and sensitivity and, as advised by Dr Ahsan, have greatly improved my quality of life, my feeling of physical well-being and my peace of mind. Dr Ahsan is an excellent cardiologist who completely eliminated my atrial fibrillation and genuinely cares about his patients. I was referred to Dr Ahsan for the carrying out of a heart Ablation procedure which he carried out at the Cromwell Hospital. I found him extremely approachable, helpful and caring throughout the consultations before and after the procedure which was successful. He explained the process thoroughly and answered all the questions my wife and I had, both at the consultations and also sent to him by e mail.
