I have been a long term sufferer from atrial fibrillation. Despite several interventions over many years (cardioversions and catheter ablations), the problem, after temporary respites have been achieved, has continued to recur. In consultation with Dr Ahsan, it was decided that a ‘pace and ablate’ procedure was the best way forward. Both the procedure and the rationale for it was explained to me with both complete clarity and great empathy. The procedures were conducted in December and in January with great skill and sensitivity and, as advised by Dr Ahsan, have greatly improved my quality of life, my feeling of physical well-being and my peace of mind.
