Very professional, dependable, super-high quality work, reasonably priced, polite, down-to-Earth" and no BS. I've done many types of construction work half my life (professionally and for personal needs), so I know what and how, but I don't always have the means if the project is overwhelming due to some factors. This was a case with my leaking old chimney, and additional other work needed to be done on a steep roof. I've dealt with many contractors in my life, and most of them are very detail-oriented on the payment, but not so much on timing or quality of work. I met with Donnie few years ago when he still worked for his uncle, Edison. Over the few years, Donnie did few different types of work for me related to chimney and roof. He is extremely detail-oriented, very skilled, dependable and great to communicate with. The chimney work turned out excellent. It's been several years now, but obviously nothing has changed. Super quality of brick work, flashing, etc. Donnie is extremely nice, responsive, very skilled and caring. He and his team protected my new deck from debris, removed the old chimney on a steep roof, built a new one, and cleaned everything up all in a single day. Later I had a re-occurring problem with squirrels nesting under soffit of a dormer (3rd fl). Donnie was in several times, due to complications when evicting the persistent squirrel family. The final modifications he made with several layers of aluminum turned out foolproof, and should be sufficient even if a mob of squirrels tries to chew their way in. These were trying times because the damage the squirrels were making required quick response, and both Edison and Donnie were quick to respond every time. What I've learned through all this time is that I can TRULY DEPEND on Donnie. Obviously, like we all, they need to make money. But their prices are still very competitive. I've learned on multiple occasions they are more focused on doing a really professional job, making sure the work is done right, and the customer is happy. And most importantly (I can't stress that enough) I can rely on them to pick up the phone, respond to a call, show up, and deal with challenges many other contractors would probably dismiss or talk their way out of. This is one of very few contractors I can safely and happily vouch for on all fronts.

Top Shield Construction did a wonderful job repairing both my home roof and garage roof after a tree fell on them. Donny and his team could not have been more respectful and kind from the day of the estimate until the completion of the projects. It was a very stressful time, but their professionalism and expertise made everything easy. They were highly attentive, communicative, and stayed in continuous contact throughout the entire process. They never left a mess and were always available to answer any questions. I am so grateful for their help and will absolutely use them again for future projects!
