I worked with Gilmer and his team from Touchstone to replace all the siding on the front elevation of my garage. After 50 years of withstanding Seattle's weather, the siding had finally deteriorated. I obtained quotes from three contractors and quickly realized that first impressions truly matter. Gilmer's proposal was comprehensive and well-structured. The quote included detailed information and photos for the entire project, covering items such as CDX plywood sheathing, HydroGap house wrap, new flashing above the garage doors and around the light fixtures, a hose bib mounting block, and hot-dipped galvanized ring-shank nails—ideal for the Pacific Northwest climate. The project was completed with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Rain Refresh paint. Overall, the quality of the painting, installation, craftsmanship, and fit and finish is exceptional. Cannot recommend Gilmer and his crew enough! What was supposed to be a simple siding project turned into much more than that when they found dry rot that had managed to get all the way into the support beams of our house. His team worked with great care and efficiency to make sure the problem was fixed and gave us such peace of mind as homeowners knowing we could trust the work him and his crew were doing. We were blown away at how quickly and cleanly they operated-5 star professionals all the way around. We have a list of projects we have to complete on our house and will be using them for everything we can moving forward. It is hard to find good, honest contractors to work on your house nowadays and it is such a relief knowing we have Gilmer and his crew to make sure our home is in perfect condition. Gilmer and his crew did an outstanding job on our large exterior project, including concrete siding repairs, painting, and resurfacing our porch, deck, and balcony.
