I hired John Williams (Water World Pool and Spa) for a major pool rehab. Despite my patience and timely payments, his operations were a disaster. Over-Promise, Under-Deliver: John promises a lot but doesn’t live up to his boastfulness. He promised a 3–4 week completion time beginning in mid-March, claiming he would prioritize our project. He blew through Memorial Day weekend, two months later, stating “I have customers counting on me”… like we weren’t? Persistent Absenteeism: Even in prime weather, he was a no show. When the crew actually did show up, they averaged under 2 hours of work per day, and rarely worked past 3pm. My property security cameras logged every minute as proof. Property Damage: Because he dragged out the timeline, our pool floor was left unnecessarily exposed to heavy rain while abandoned. His negligence caused significant damage to the pool floor which cost $10,000 to repair. Up-Front Payments: John demanded 100% upfront. I refused, and he argued “you can trust me.” No you can’t! Do not fall for it or risk him walking away as he did to us. The situation peaked when I requested he bring my pool liner on-site, which was paid in full and delivered a month ago. He refused and demanded more money from me. I drove to his business address to pick it up. He refused to hand it over and told me to call the police. As we loaded the liner in our vehicle, John shouted “I QUIT”. This is the type of unprofessionalism you will deal with if you hire John Williams and his company. SUMMARY John Williams treats premium renovation projects like a weekend hobby slot. If you want a contractor who stands by his word and possesses a professional work ethic, DO NOT hire Water World Pool and Spa. Save your time, sanity, and hard-earned money.

I knew nothing about pools when I started the process of opening my pool for the first time. John came referred to me and I had a great experience. He is knowledge on pools and what he’s doing. It was a learning process, but John was patient with us and able to identify what was wrong. I have an in-ground that was in rough shape, he got it open in time for the summer! His team is respectful and also great! Super happy!! He’s upfront and knows his stuff!

We had some delays for numerous reasons. But these guys got through them and got the job done. Also gave me a few breaks. All in all I love my pool.
