I had lunch there 2 weeks ago I was visiting Melbourne from Canada, and my friends took me there . Loved everything about this restaurant, from the authentic Somali food to the beautiful atmosphere, food was amazing and they were very generous with the portion sizes. Loved the prayer room as well. Wish we had a Somali restaurant like Sahara in my city 10/10 🫶🏽 🇸🇴 🤩
This was our first time trying East African cuisine, and I’m absolutely loving it! The flavors were bold, vibrant, and unlike anything I’ve had before — every bite was a delightful culinary adventure. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the meal. The menu offers an excellent variety of dishes, each sounding more tempting than the last. We both tried the lamb mandi, just with different sides and it was phenomenal — the meat was tender and literally fell off the bone, bursting with rich, aromatic spices. The portions were generous, leaving us more than satisfied and very full. On top of that, the service was friendly. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to explore authentic East African flavors in a welcoming setting!
Every single one of us had an incredible meal and the portions were huge. I had the lamb chops with roasted vegetables and the lamb was tender and delicious. My husband had the fahfah soup and said it was some of the best soup he’s ever had. No room for desert but what a great meal.
